Our Foundation has 4 Low Income Houses available for rent as well as a Rent Supplement Program.

 

Rent Supplement Program

A subsidy is paid directly to an eligible tenant to assist with their rental costs.

The program is delivered by the Foundation on behalf of the Government of Canada and the Government of Alberta partners under the Canada Housing Benefit.  This initiative is part of the National Housing Strategy and provides funding towards rent assistance benefit.

 

The subsidy is paid monthly, directly to an eligible tenant to assist with their rental costs;

The Subsidy is based on the difference between 30 percent of a household’s income and an agreed upon market rent.

 

Eligibility

The following criteria apply for eligibility purposes:

  * Must provide a copy of a lease agreement with your application form.

  * Applicant's annual household income must meet the local core need income thresholds (CNITS)

  * Applicants must be Canadian Citizens or have Landed Immigrant Status.

HOW TO APPLY

As there are a limited number of subsidies, priority for assistance will be based on those in greatest need being helped first.
